CCA Announces Passing of Longtime Board Member John Correnti

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (PRWEB) August 20, 2015 -- Corrections Corporation of America (CCA) announced today with great sadness the passing of longtime board member John Correnti, who died Tuesday in Chicago.

“John provided invaluable experience and wisdom to our company,” said Damon Hininger, president and chief executive officer. “Beyond his significant contributions to CCA’s success and growth, John was also a treasured friend to me, his fellow directors and countless others. He will be greatly missed.”

Correnti, who had decades of national leadership in the steel industry, came to CCA as a director in 2000 and served on the Board’s Compensation Committee.

“I was honored to know John for 15 years and will miss his steady counsel,” said John D. Ferguson, chairman of the board. “I join with my fellow board members and all of us at CCA in sending our deepest condolences to his family.”
