CDS Hosts Event Tomorrow (Sept 9) on Capitol Hill to Honor Representative Kinzinger for his Support of the Syrian People
Washington, DC (PRWEB) September 08, 2015 -- Tomorrow, Wednesday September 9, the Coalition for a Democratic Syria will honor Congressman Adam Kinzinger for his steadfast commitment to the democratic aspirations of the Syrian people. These commitments include consistent highlighting of regime crimes, supporting legislation to help the Syrian opposition, and even traveling to the border to meet with activists and rebel leaders. Representative Kinzinger’s accomplishments on Syria go beyond rhetoric, as he personally brokered an agreement for greater coordination between Free Syrian Army leadership and the Syriac Military Council, a Christian group fighting ISIS in Syria’s northeast.
Attendance at this event is both encouraged and appreciated. The event will be held in the Capitol Visitor's Center (CVC) Auditorium Atrium at 6:00pm and attendance is free.
Following the event, there will be footage from the award-winning film "Red Lines," a documentary developed over the first three years of the Syrian conflict.
