CDS Sophomore Flying Kites for Children with Cancer as Part of Her Middle Years Program Personal Project

Tampa, FL (PRWEB) February 25, 2014 -- As part of the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum, the tenth graders at Carrollwood Day School have to complete their Personal Project for the Middle Years Programme (MYP) on March 4, 2014. The Personal Project is the culminating assessment of the MYP, the IB Programme offered to students age fifth grade through tenth grade.

Karina Bowers has chosen to help the Children’s Cancer Center, a local non-profit organization dedicated to serving Tampa Bay families of children with cancer or chronic blood disorders, for her personal project. She will be selling kites for $10 each to all Carrollwood Day School students and families with all proceeds going to the center. All CDS students will be flying their kites on Kite Day, Thursday, March 6th at 2:15 on the Bearss Avenue Campus located at 1515 Bearss Avenue; Tampa, Fl 33613. This will definitely be a magical afternoon.
