Love music? Take in a 12-minute free concert at St. Anne’s Church at 12:12 p.m. on Wednesdays. Presented by Live Arts Maryland, the concerts are a great way to build a musical lift into your day. Need more of a music fix? Head back to St. Anne’s on Thursday nights for free hour-long Live Arts Maryland performances at 6:00 p.m. You’ll miss rush hour and head home refreshed and renewed.
Love family time? Grab the kids and head to Chick & Ruth’s Delly for what many locals call “the best milkshakes in town.” If you’re feeling daring – and hungry – you might even want to order the six-pound colossal shake for all to share. Don’t be surprised if owner Ted Levitt stops by your table and does a magic show for the kids. If you time your visit right, you’ll catch the morning Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
Love to cook? Learn from the pro at Roundz Gourmet Market and Catering in Gambrills. Love Art? Annapolis and the Chesapeake Bay is an art lover’s paradise. With nearly 25 art galleries in downtown and West Annapolis alone, it’s easy to find the perfect addition to any collection. Before heading home, be sure to check out the public art displays at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts, the Mitchell Gallery at St. John’s College and the Maryland Federation of Art’s Circle Gallery in Annapolis.
