Holiday calendar listings include: Thanksgiving at the Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite, Thanksgiving Feast at Yosemite Bug Rustic Mountain Resort, Gingerbread House Decorating Workshops, Yosemite Holiday Craft Bazaar, 87th Annual Bracebridge Dinner, Merry Mountain Christmas Parade, Kid’s Dinner with Santa, Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve at the Tenaya Lodge.
Forego the stress of preparing a Thanksgiving feast this year. On Thursday, Nov. 27, create traditions and spend time with family when you join one of the holiday tables for Thanksgiving dinner at the Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite. Choose the experience that best suits your family with three incredible dining options; 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. dine amongst live music at the Grand Ballroom Thanksgiving Buffet; 4:30-9:30 p.m. join Sierra Restaurant’s Thanksgiving Dinner; and from 5-9:30 p.m. indulge in Ember’s Upscale Dining Thanksgiving Dinner.
Cafe at the Bug’s oldest holiday celebration is its traditional, yet innovative, Thanksgiving feast taking place on Thursday, Nov 27, from 5:30- 8:30 p.m. The menu includes the most classic holiday favorites, as well as vegan and vegetarian options. This is the perfect family outing with an all-inclusive menu.
Join the beloved tradition of decorating gingerbread houses at one of the gingerbread house decorating workshops at the Tenaya Lodge. Fun for all ages, the workshop allows participants access to everything from gumdrops to marshmallows to build an original gingerbread masterpiece. Workshops take place Nov. 28, 29 and Dec. 20, making it a festive family activity for guests visiting near the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.
On Dec. 5, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., bask in the jubilee of the holidays while shopping for unique treasures and gifts at the Yosemite Holiday Craft Bazaar. The event will take place at the Curry Village Pavilion and will feature an exclusive showcase of gifts by local artists and crafters, delicious food, baked goods and a silent auction.
On Saturday, Dec. 6, from 5:30-8 p.m., historic downtown Mariposa will be embellished with the joys of the season during the Merry Mountain Christmas Parade. The festival attracts all-ages, and Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there for photo opportunities.
From Saturday, Dec. 14 through Thursday Dec. 25, the 87th annual Bracebridge Dinner will be taking place at The Ahwahnee Hotel. The most time-honored Yosemite tradition, the Bracebridge Dinner is a performance of song, dance and extraordinary cuisine, all celebrating the yuletide season.
On Saturday, Dec. 20, from 12-5 p.m. enjoy a full day of Christmas activities in the historic town of Coulterville. Santa arrives at noon with his elves and the fire brigade to bring every child in attendance a gift. The festivities also include a free holiday dinner at the historic Coulterville School House and the Gold Country Singers at the Coulterville Methodist Church.
On Tuesday, Dec. 23, from 6-8 p.m., children can experience the magic of Christmas up close and personal at Tenaya Lodge’s Kid’s Dinner with Santa. Children, ages four through 12 will be able to share their gift requests with Santa, and engage in crafts, games and activities before an exclusive dinner with Mr. Claus.
On December 24, gather with friends to enjoy Christmas Eve at Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite. A Christmas Eve cookie decorating workshop gives children the opportunity to make Santa custom treats for his big night. Mrs. Claus will make a special appearance to read aloud ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, and settle in for the night. Wake up on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, for a day of family fun and hit the ice skating rink, or indulge in one of the Christmas buffets at the resort.
Kick-off the New Year on Dec. 31, at 7 p.m. with friends at the Tenaya Lodge. The property is bringing the glitz and glam of big-city New Year’s Eve celebrations to Yosemite. The evening will feature fine dining, delicious cocktails and a performance by Greg London, of the award-winning Vegas show “Impressions that Rock”.
