Celebrity Chef Brings His Unique Approach to Indian Fine Dining to the Greater Toronto Area
Brampton, ON (PRWEB) September 07, 2016 -- This fall, Indian celebrity chef, Ranveer Brar will open his first five-star restaurant in Canada. Already India’s youngest executive chef, Brar has opened more than 20 restaurants throughout the world, including the famous Banq Restaurant in Boston. Having worked in some of the most exclusive international restaurant kitchens, Chef Brar is bringing his unique approach to Indian fine dining to Brampton, Ontario with the launch of Mayura by Chef Ranveer Brar.
“I believe that food has to be an experience,” says Chef Ranveer Brar. “With each of my restaurants, I try to take into consideration the culture and surroundings of the location. Only by doing this can I holistically create and plate a menu that excites the diners’ senses. That’s one of the reasons I’m visiting before we open Mayura later this year.”
In addition to his wide-ranging restaurant experience, Chef Brar is also the host of multiple television shows in India, including: Breakfast Xpress, Snack Attack, Homemade, The Great Indian Rasoi, Health Bhi Taste Bhi, Ranveer's Cafe, Food Tripping and Thank God It's Fryday. Brar is also a judge on Master Chef India.
Mayura by Chef Ranveer Brar will be located in Brampton near highway 10 and the 407. If all goes according to plan, Brar hopes that the official opening of the restaurant will take place later this fall.
“At our premium location, we’ll have five-star ambiance,” says Brar. “We’ll be serving a menu that includes both traditional Indian and fusion fare.”
When pressed for more detail on the menu, Chef Brar smiles coyly and suggests a visit to Mayura when it opens. A select few will receive a glimpse of what could be on the menu a private dinner hosted by Brar during his visit this summer.
What Brar does mention, though, is that diners at Mayura by Chef Ranveer Brar will experience food that is prepared by both local talent and five-star chefs from India.
“It takes time to truly relax and experience your food,” notes Brar. “That’s why we won’t rush our visitors through their meal. Mayura will be open late until midnight and our patio will be open until 2:00AM seven days a week as long as the weather permits.”
In anticipation of the restaurant’s launch later this fall, Chef Brar is visiting Toronto from September 11 – 15 and is available for interviews to offer expert insights about the perfect Indian dining experience. As well as cooking tips, Chef Brar can also discuss his thoughts on culinary development in North America, why he’s chosen the GTA for his first Canadian venture and offer some hints about his new restaurant’s top secret menu.
