Florida condo prices increased 9.7 percent to $159,000. Florida homes are also spending less time on the market – only 49 days for single-family homes and 52 days for condos. Sunshine State home prices have increased for 42 consecutive months.
“New York's $250 Million Penthouse”
Astronomical real estate prices in New York City may be heading even higher. Rumors are that a Qatari billionaire is close to purchasing several pre-construction apartments at 220 Central Park South that he would combine into one huge penthouse. The rumored price is $250 million which would more than double the previous New York record of $100.5 million at One57 that was set in January.
“Phil Collins Buys J-Lo's Miami Mansion”
A 1929 Miami mansion that was once owned by Jennifer Lopez recently sold to musician Phil Collins. Collins paid $33 million for the 12,183-square-foot home on Biscayne Bay with seven bedrooms and 13 bathrooms. J-Lo sold the home in 2005 for $13.9 million.
