Pompano Beach, Florida (PRWEB) February 19, 2015 -- Miley Cyrus's California estate where she spent most of her teen years is for sale and featured this week at TopTenRealEstateDeals.com.
“Miley Cyrus's California Family Home”
Miley Cyrus was born Destiny Hope Cyrus in 1992 in Tennessee to Billy Ray and Letisha Cyrus. Deciding at age 8 that she wanted to be an actress, after a few acting and singing lessons she was performing in minor roles in her dad’s television series “Doc” and in the movie “Big Fish.” In 2006, Destiny hit it big when the Disney Channel chose her for the lead role in their cable television series “Hannah Montana.” She played the role of a normal teenager but with a secret night life as a rock star. The show became one of cable's biggest hits winning “Teen Choice” awards from 2007 to 2009. Destiny officially changed her name to Miley in 2008, a shorter version of her nickname Smiley.
Miley really did become a rock star in 2007 when her debut album “Meet Miley Cyrus” hit #1 on the “Billboard” charts selling over 320,000 copies in one week. Her second album “Breakout” featured eight songs that Miley wrote and also hit “Billboard's” #1 spot selling over 370,000 recordings in the first week. Moving fast with both her acting and singing career, Miley's “Wrecking Ball” made it to #1 in 2013. She won the MTV Video of the Year award that same year where she shot to the top of the gossip and twitter worlds with her twerking duet with Robin Thicke. Miley's fourth studio album “Bangerz” was released in late 2013 at #1. She is now working on her next studio album.
It wasn’t until the onset of filming “Hannah Montana” in 2007 that the Cyrus family moved from their 500-acre Tennessee farm to a new home in Toluca Lake, California - an easy commute to the Disney studios for Billy and Miley. The home was where Miley spent most of her teen years and was later put into a trust for her. It is now for sale.
Gated and tucked privately away inside walls and thick tropical vegetation, the Tuscan-style home is accessed by a long bricked drive bordered by trees and thick hedging opening onto a brick motor court. Designed and built in 2007 by architect Bob Easton, its appearance, with patches of vine-covered walls, red barrel tile roof and Old World ambiance, belies its youth. At 8,700 square feet on just under an acre, it houses six bedrooms, seven baths, grand entry foyer with curved staircase accented with wrought iron and formal rooms that open to views of the pool and lush landscaping. There is a large chef’s kitchen with ogee-edged granite countertops, family room, home theatre, and Billy’s guitar display room. Built on two levels, the master suite has a rooftop terrace with fireplace and large walk-in dressing rooms. Both inside and outside are multiple venues with fireplaces for lounging and entertaining both covered and open air. A state-of-the-art security system and cameras protect all areas of the property.
Miley is asking $5.995 million for her former Toluca Lake family home. The listing agent is Thomas Atamian of Dilbeck Real Estate.
