Celltick Partners With Deutsche Telekom to Enhance Users’ Android Experience With Interactive Start Screen
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) February 20, 2014 -- Celltick, a global leader in mobile initiated commerce, announced today a partnership with Deutsche Telekom AG aimed at enriching the mobile experience of Deutsche Telekom’s Android users via their phone’s start screen. With this partnership, Deutsche Telekom will be able to provide its subscribers single-touch access to their favorite and most frequently used applications and functions, including account services and special offers, through a customized version of Celltick’s Start.
Start, a next-generation intelligent Android interface, provides interactive functionality on the start screen of the device, which enables subscribers to easily personalize their device. Start provides users easy access to their favorite and most useful assets on the handset. Users can launch up to 24 apps, creating an easier to navigation interface, assisted by an adaptive recommendation engine which optimizes usage based on the user’s behavior and context. Start offers direct access to social networks, music services, cloud storage, messaging and camera functionalities without unlocking the phone.
Start will be gradually rolled out across the Deutsche Telekom footprint, with T-Mobile Poland as the first operator to preload the service onto selected devices.
“We always look to providing additional value to our consumers. Celltick’s Start allows us to make existing and future services more accessible and useful to our subscribers, and provide a true next-generation Android experience for T-Mobile customers in Poland,” said Wojciech Pronobis, Postpaid Marketing Department Director. “Through the partnership with Celltick, we will be able to further enhance the experience via localized and targeted services that matter to the users, drive loyalty and provide real value to our subscribers.”
“We are extremely pleased and proud to have been selected as a partner of choice by Deutsche Telekom. This truly attests the quality of our solution along with the near five grade rating that our users have given us,” said Ronen Daniel, CEO of Celltick. “As operators look to engage more with their customers, we look forward to being their partner in enabling them. Start is an excellent and effective means of communicating to subscribers on their Android devices. We are extremely glad to have Deutsche Telekom be our first partner to launch Start based services in Western Europe.”
The growing Start ecosystem includes hundreds of themes and plug-ins that are available for download on Google Play. In 2013, Celltick powered billions of mobile-initiated commerce transactions for virtual and physical goods serving more than 110 million active consumers across 25 countries.
