Center for Hope and Safety Honors Anita Allen
Ridgewood, NJ (PRWEB) April 24, 2015 -- Anita Allen, founder and president of Allen Advisory Group, a distinguished honoree of the Center for Hope and Safety (CHS), was celebrated at the Annual Gala on April 13, 2015. She was recognized for her exceptional effort raising over $2,000,000 during a successful capital campaign to fund the purchase and renovation of the Center for Hope and Safety’s newest building, which houses all non-emergency services as well as the administrative headquarters. She led the campaign after serving as Board President for an unprecedented two consecutive terms.
“The co-chairs want to thank all the people that supported the capital campaign,” said Allen. “The new building will act as a launching pad for the future success of the agency and a major step forward in our ability to help families affected by domestic violence.” At the campaign start, it was expected to take at least 3 full years to raise the funds for the Community Services Center. But Allen, her co-chair, and the Capital Campaign Committee were able to reach the goal in 2 years.
When Allen is not working with Fortune 1000 businesses and entrepreneurial start-up companies as president of her own consulting firm, she tirelessly works with the CHS to support their mission of assisting women and children that are victims of domestic violence. A past president of the Center for 5 years, she is a board member and strategic advisor to Currant, Inc., a technology start-up, and currently serves on the board of the National Association of Corporate Directors New Jersey (NACDNJ).
