Center for Patient Safety Welcomes New Board Member
Jefferson City, MO (PRWEB) September 22, 2016 -- The Center for Patient Safety (CPS) announced that Mark Alexander, Administrative Director of Pre-Hospital Services for CoxHealth in Springfield, MO, was appointed to the organization’s board of directors.
“Mark is a former field paramedic and recognized EMS leader with more than 30 years of experience in the health care industry,” said Alex Christgen, Executive Director of CPS. “He brings a dynamic perspective to patient safety and we are delighted that he is joining CPS’ board of directors.”
As Administrative Director of Pre-Hospital Services, Mr. Alexander provides financial and operational oversight of the Emergency Medical System owned by CoxHealth. The system provides emergency and non-emergency medical response, care, and transportation for six counties.
A past president of the Missouri Ambulance Association and a past president of the West Missouri Critical Incident Response Team, he currently serves as the Vice Chairperson of the Missouri Emergency Service Agency Corporation (MoEMSAC) and board member of the Missouri Ambulance Association.
Additionally, Mr. Alexander is a Just Culture instructor and has taught more than 500 students.
