CenterPoint Properties Enters 25-Year Lease with New Continuum Holdings Corporation
Oak Brook, Illinois (PRWEB) September 30, 2013 -- CenterPoint Properties is proud to announce the signing of a 25-year lease agreement with New Continuum Holdings Corporation for a 62,012 SF data center on 5.808 acres located at 603 Discovery Drive, West Chicago, Illinois. The building, located in the DuPage Business Center, was constructed as a highly specialized data facility. Ned Franke, Alexander Smith and Bill McDonald of Cushman & Wakefield represented CenterPoint in the transaction.
New Continuum, the owner of Continuum Data Centers, will operate the Tier III facility as a fully redundant data center built to N+1 specifications. They expect to begin installing customers in the facility by mid-2014. The building offers access to multiple power grids, providing ample power to support the future operations. In addition, the building will have one of the fastest fiber links to the CME facility in the area.
Additional features of the property include 36,728 SF of raised access data space, 17,696 SF of exterior equipment yard, 37 car parking spaces with the ability to expand to 137 spaces, one exterior dock and one drive-in dock.
