CEO and Chairman of Staffing Company Named Man of the Year for Oklahoma
OKLAHOMA CITY (PRWEB) February 18, 2015 -- Bob Funk, CEO and chairman of the board for Express Employment Professionals, has been named Man of the Year by IMPACT OKC Magazine for his lifetime impact and contributions to Oklahoma City and the state.
Funk will receive the honor on Thursday, Feb. 19, at the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club. The event begins at 6 p.m. with a silent auction fundraiser; followed by a recognition dinner at 7 p.m. Proceeds from the event will benefit at-risk youth in Oklahoma through Youth for Christ and the Oklahoma Youth Expo, the largest junior livestock show in Oklahoma.

Funk has served on various Oklahoma boards and committees including Oklahoma Blue Cross Blue Shield, National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum, Greater Oklahoma City Chamber, Oklahoma Youth Expo, Oklahoma Baptist University and Oklahoma Independent College Foundation.
Under Funk’s leadership, Express has put more than 6 million people to work in the U.S., Canada and South Africa. And, with the 30 locations in Oklahoma, Express put nearly 21,000 Oklahomans to work in 2014 in a variety of industries, including commercial, administrative and medical.
