Certified Gold Exchange Plans to Be First Gold Dealer to Deliver by Drone
Dallas, TX (PRWEB) December 03, 2013 -- With major U.S. delivery services such as FedEx and Amazon currently testing delivery by drone one U.S. gold dealer says that it plans to be the first company to ship physical gold to clients via unmanned drone. Certified Gold Exchange spokesperson Janet Jones said Monday that once the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) implements a regulatory system for package delivery drones the company could begin to offer delivery in 30 minutes or less to clients who live within a 10-mile radius of one of the company’s locations.
“In 2012 Congress told the FAA to compile a list of regulations that would govern commercial unmanned aircraft because it saw this coming,” Jones said. “We’re still 5 or so years away from being satisfied with the laws and the technology but in the not-too-distant future delivery drones will be as common a sight as delivery trucks are today.”
Critics have cautioned that Americans’ privacy could be at stake if an influx of unmanned drones starting roaming the skies, but Jones says that gold investors have no need to worry. “Clients can rest assured that just as USPS has delivered our packages securely and confidentially since 1992, any Certified Gold Exchange drone delivery program would have to meet the strictest privacy standards before launching and clients can always request hand delivery of their package if they so choose.”
