Certified Gold Exchange to Set Gold Coin Prices Based on Historic Thanksgiving Dates
Dallas, TX (PRWEB) November 11, 2013 -- U.S. gold coin and bullion dealer Certified Gold Exchange, Inc. wants Americans to turn on the History Channel more often, and its marketing team has decided to let American history play a role in its Thanksgiving gold coin sale.
Company spokesperson Janet Jones says that one of the most popular gold coins in the world is the U.S.-minted Saint Gaudens Double Eagle $20 piece, and the Certified Gold Exchange is known as a high-volume discounter of such coins. The years 1574, 1621 and 1789 are significant in Thanksgiving history, and gold investors can buy MS62, MS63 and MS64 versions of the one-ounce St. Gaudens gold coin for $1574, $1621 and $1789, respectively, until the day before Thanksgiving.
“1574 is widely recognized as the year that the Pilgrims observed a group in Leiden commemorating the end of the siege of Leiden,” said Jones, “and 1621 is often cited as the first year that the Pilgrims had a feast to give thanks for a healthy harvest.” The PCGS or NGC-certified MS62 Saint Gaudens coin will be available at $1574, or $91 under the PCGS.com listed value, through the close of business at 6pm EST on Wednesday, November 27. The price of $1621 for the MS63 version, which has historically outperformed the MS62 coin financially, is $179 below the national average retail price of $1800.
Jones says that 1789 was an important year in Thanksgiving history because George Washington made Thanksgiving official by declaring it “a day of public thanksgiving and prayer to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many and signal favours of Almighty God” and the price tag of $1789 for the MS64, the cleanest and best-performing coin of the three, is $121 less than the list price of $1910. There is a limit of 50 coins per investor and the pricing includes shipping, insurance and confidential delivery to the investor’s home, office or post office.
