Certified Public Accounting Firm Guilmartin, DiPiro & Sokolowski, Announces Promotions
Middletown, CT (PRWEB) February 24, 2015 -- Guilmartin, DiPiro & Sokolowski, LLC (GDS), a certified public accounting firm, is pleased to announce the promotions of Michael Kovaleski, CPA and Angela Paydos, CPA. Both long-term employees with GDS, Mr. Kovaleski has been named Director and Ms. Paydos has been named Manager.
These promotions come on the heels of a merger that has expanded GDS’s capabilities, offerings and expertise in serving clients throughout Middlesex County and Connecticut.
Mr. Kovaleski joined GDS in 1989. He works with a variety of small business and individual tax clients as well as performs audits as a specialist in the audits of non-profit organizations. He is an expert in the preparation of the Cost Reports for the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) and Department of Social Services (DSS). A graduate of Central Connecticut State University, Mr. Kovalski is member of the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CTCPA), the Waterbury Elks Lodge, the Cercemaggiore Community Club in Oakville, CT and a Communicate of St. Mary Magdalen Church. He lives in Watertown with his wife and three children.
Ms. Paydos, who has been with GDS over a decade, has been promoted to Manager for her demonstrated leadership and effective management skills. She has been a CPA for 11 years, starting her career at GDS as a co-op student in 1999 working on both audits and taxes. She later went to work as an internal auditor at The Hartford Financial Services Group. She returned to GDS in 2008 and continues to work on various audit engagements. Ms. Paydos graduated cum laude from Bryant University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration in Accounting and from the University of Connecticut with a Masters of Accounting with a concentration in Assurance Services. She is a member of the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CTCPA) and the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA). She lives in Canton with her husband and three kids.
