CEV Multimedia Announces Partnership with Benz School of Floral Design
LUBBOCK, Texas (PRWEB) April 16, 2015 -- CEV Multimedia, a leading producer of Career and Technical Education (CTE) curriculum resources, announces its partnership with the Benz School of Floral Design at Texas A&M University to offer the Principles of Floral Design Certification. Delivered by iCEV, an online platform that produces and provides comprehensive educational content, and endorsed by the Benz School of Floral Design, the program presents major topics in floral arrangement techniques and trends.
The certification is comprised of 13 lessons that address key components of the floral business, including the history of floral design, flower identification, wedding & special arrangements and flower business management, to name a few. The Principles of Floral Design Certification is designed for students at the secondary and post-secondary levels interested in natural sciences and fine arts.
“This is a great opportunity for students to earn a unique floral design certification that aligns to a variety of interests and curriculum programs,” said Jeff Lansdell, president of CEV Multimedia. “By working with the Benz School of Floral Design, we continue to show our dedication to developing meaningful resources for students and educators in CTE programs across the country.”
Industry collaborations are playing an increasingly integral role in all CTE programs by offering hands-on training as students complete their program of study. Through iCEV, students enhance their career training with certifications from industry partners by completing regular coursework through a series of pre-built online CTE lessons and assessments.
“The principles and elements of design are the foundation and fundamental concepts of floral design and all art forms,” said Bill McKinley, Director of the Benz School of Floral Design. “Understanding these fundamental concepts can allow a student to grow in their appreciation of floral design and help them to quantify their personal aesthetics. The Benz School of Floral Design stresses the importance of principles and elements of design in all of its course curriculums, so this connection with CEV Multimedia is a logical extension of what we teach.”
The Benz School of Floral Design is the latest industry partner to join CEV Multimedia in offering certifications supporting CTE programs and initiatives. In addition to the Principles of Floral Design Certification, CEV Multimedia offers programs to earn Professional Communications, Meat Evaluation and Principles of Livestock Selection & Evaluation Certifications. CEV Multimedia is currently developing industry-backed certifications to expand education and support student success across multiple areas of CTE.
