Chabil Mar Caribbean Resort, Belize, Partners With Belize Jungle Resort to Benefit the Belize Council for the Vision Impaired (BCVI), a Non-Profit Organization
Placencia, Belize (PRWEB) July 16, 2013 -- Aptly titled to represent the benefits of the two resorts who partnered and the organization to which they donate, Amber Sunset Resort in Cayo and Chabil Mar, Maya for "Beautiful Sea" this Belize vacation package is so special due to its additional relationship with the Belize Council for the Vision Impaired.
Larry France, Marketing Manager for Chabil Mar, explains how this all came about. "In February of this year, I was made aware of a very special Belize youth named Rowan Garel. Rowan is 15 years old and is blind. I learned that he set out on a mission to raise money for the BCVI by, in his own words 'show the world that blind or visually impaired people can do anything that normal sighted people can.' I was taken by his story and went to work with the gentleman who told me of his story, to join in and help him in his efforts. Rowan set out in 2011 to raise money by climbing Mt. Victoria and in 2012, by walking across the country. This year, on July 14, he dove the Great Blue Hole in Belize, the first blind person to do so."
"It was the owners of Amber Sunset Resort in Cayo, Belize, that made the introduction to me so we decided that we might be able to help Rowan and the BCVI the best by creating a Belize vacation adventure package where a percentage of proceeds was donated to them and their efforts. Thus was born this exciting new Belize vacation package, Amber Sunsets and Beautiful Seas."
"We are so proud to support Rowan and the BCVI with their mission to prevent and cure blindness, restore sight, & to rehabilitate and educate people who are blind. And, this is the best way we could find to do so by putting our resources to work for and with them."
