Chabill's Tire & Auto Service’s Woman to Watch
(PRWEB) June 22, 2015 -- Recently, the Tire Industry Association (TIA) has formally recognized women of innovation and vision across the United States for their determination and hard work in the tire business. Among these women is Beth Barron, Vice President of Operations at Chabill’s Tire and Auto Service, which services Baton Rouge, LA and surrounding areas. Barron was listed in Today’s Tire Industry magazine’s “Women to Watch in the Tire Industry” Spring 2015 feature, accompanied by a 12-page special section discussing women’s efforts in the industry and the results of their dedication.
Barron got her start at Chabill’s Tire and Auto Service back in 1992, processing national accounts claims for seven locations. Over the next decade, she applied herself to other accounting roles and eventually advanced to become the company’s director of business development. Today, Barron is key to Chabill’s day-to-day operations, supervising several members of the management team, negotiating with vendors and coordinating the company’s advertising and marketing efforts. Barron also developed a successful customer loyalty program that has become a model for other dealers across the country. She is a member of the Dealer Advisory Council for ASA Tire Systems and is one of two women serving on Michelin’s Dealer Advisory Council for North America.
“Every day is a challenge in this business. It keeps me on my toes and forces me to problem-solve quickly and effectively,” said Barron. “This industry is filled with smart, dedicated people who are willing to share experiences and knowledge at the drop of an email. I don’t know that you really see that in other industries.”
Tire Industry Association (TIA) is pleased to include pioneers of innovation like Beth Barron among their first nominees of Women to Watch in the Tire Industry. These titles were awarded with unwavering support from tire industry leaders and business people alike.
TIA President Freda Pratt-Boyer noted, “The tire industry has always been noted as being a man’s world. This magazine showcases the success stories of many women in the industry and highlights the vital roles that they play. We hope that this effort will elevate the image of women in the profession and provide women currently in the industry and those considering careers in the industry with inspiration and motivation.”
