Champion Helps to Raise $30,000 at the Doc & Yeager Invitational
Columbus, Ohio (PRWEB) August 13, 2014 -- On Aug. 9, the 11th annual Doc & Yeager Golf Invitational, sponsored by Champion Real Estate Services, raised $25,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio and $5,000 for the Columbus Children’s Charity.
Over 100 golfers participated in the shotgun-style golf tournament that has aimed to raise awareness for BBBS since 2004. This is the first year that the event, which was held at Northstar Golf Club in Sunbury, Ohio, has also benefitted the Columbus Children’s Charity.
The Doc & Yeager was established by Champion president and CEO Brian Yeager and his best friend, Dr. Trent Albright of Worthington Ophthalmology. Yeager, who has been involved with BBBS since 2005, and Albright originally were looking for a way to bring together friends, family and business associates for a weekend of fun. The golf outing has continued to grow over the last 11 years with 2014 being the biggest year yet.
“I feel so humbled that the support for this event continues to grow year-after-year,” Yeager said. “We were thrilled to raise $10,000 just three years ago, and now look how much we are able to give back. We are even able to benefit a second great organization through the D&Y.”
Champion's philanthropic efforts continue beyond the Doc & Yeager Invitational, as it recently launched the Champion Cares Foundation, the mission of which is to give back to the Central Ohio community and those in need.

"The money we donate every year helps organizations like BBBS and Columbus Children's Charity make a real impact on the lives of children in our community.
