Charles A. Dana Center to Advise Imagine Learning on Mathematics Instruction
Provo, UT and Austin, TX (PRWEB) September 12, 2017 -- Imagine Learning, award-winning developer of supplemental digital curricula for K–12 students, recently signed an agreement with The Charles A. Dana Center at The University of Texas at Austin, a widely respected content, research, policy, and advocacy institute for math and science education.
The Charles A. Dana Center focuses on K–16 mathematics and science education with an emphasis on strategies for improving student engagement, motivation, persistence, and achievement, particularly for traditionally underrepresented students.
Accordingly, experts from the Dana Center will act in an advisory role to Imagine Learning curriculum designers, sharing latest research findings, design protocols, and instructional best practices in elementary education that will benefit Imagine Learning's digital math programs and the students who use them.
"There's a good reason why educators around the world see The Charles A. Dana Center as a leader in math education," said Linda Hardman, executive director of instructional design for mathematics at Imagine Learning. "We're thrilled that our new relationship will give us access to the latest research and best practices for math instruction that help us ensure only the best math curricula for our students."
"Every student deserves classroom experiences that will help them develop the knowledge and the confidence in mathematics that they need to thrive in school and beyond," said Carolyn Landel, managing director of the Dana Center. "We are proud to serve as an advisor to Imagine Learning as they seek critical feedback on targeted components of key lessons in their mathematics interventions to keep elementary students on a path to success."
