Charles E. Holman Foundation Launches Fundraising Campaign to Raise $10,000 for Research
Austin, TX (PRWEB) December 18, 2013 -- The Charles E. Holman Foundation today announced they are launching a fundraising campaign in an effort to raise money for research to combat Morgellons Disease. The foundation has set a goal of $10,000 to cover the next phase of research for Dr. Eva Sapi of the University of New Haven in West Haven, CT.
“The goal of the next phase of the project is to further analyze the infectious agents in skin samples of Morgellons patients, which were previously identified by DNA-PCR and a novel whole genome sequencing technology,” said Cheryl Bandoski. A graduate student of Dr. Sapi’s, Ms. Bandoski gave a presentation based on the project’s first phase at the ILADS conference in San Diego last October.
The phase 2-research proposal will contribute to mounting core evidence attesting Morgellons is contracted through infectious agents and, further, illuminating the exact nature of the pathogens involved.
The data from this research will be presented during the CEHF’s March 2014 conference and will be forthcoming on the CEHF website. The CEHF 7th Annual Morgellons Medical Conference will be March 29th-30th, 2014 in Austin, TX.
The fundraiser begins on December 18, and will run for 60 days on Indiegogo.com.
“The CEHF encourages everyone to consider donating to this very important and significant project,” said Cindy Casey-Holman, a registered nurse and Director of the Charles E. Holman Foundation. “Share this with anyone and everyone that you can. Challenge others to give matching donations. The validation and acceptance of Morgellons Disease as a true, physiological condition is on the horizon.”
The CEHF will email a fundraising letter during the week of December 18, 2013 and plan to use Indiegogo.com, an online fundraising site to raise awareness. The fundraising event titled, Morgellons Disease Untangled: Donate to Celebrate, will be highlighted in their email, as well as on the CEHF website & Facebook page.
Donate now to celebrate this opportunity! The CEHF is on a winning road to find the answers and change Morgellons Disease from a mystery to a reality.
