While Europe has banned nearly 1,400 chemicals and ingredients in skin and hair care beauty products, the United States has currently banned 11. While somewhat counter-intuitive for business people to call for increased regulation, COO Ryan Jones believes the mission warrants such changes, saying that “the number of potentially hazardous chemicals and ingredients that we apply to our skin is alarming. The skin is one of the largest human organs, and we want to educate the public on what exactly they are exposing themselves to. As a company, we found it troubling that the FDA still allows known hazardous chemicals like formaldehyde, lead, and phthalates to be included in cosmetics and other beauty products, including baby products.”

In addition to offering safe, effective organic and natural beauty products, Organaca also plans to be an authoritative resource for educating consumers on potentially harmful ingredients. The company will not only instruct customers regarding what ingredients they should avoid, but they will also highlight the beneficial qualities of organic and natural ingredients. One feature the company is most excited about is a Teen Beauty video blog which will be launching soon. The two young women featured in the video series are amazingly talented and will help educate Organaca customers on “how to” content and also feature natural ingredients and their overall benefits.
