CHE Trinity Health is Now Trinity Health
Livonia, Mich. (PRWEB) November 19, 2014 -- CHE Trinity Health has a new look. The 21-state Catholic health system today announced its name is now Trinity Health and unveiled a new logo, honoring the heritage of its ministry and the opportunities in its future.
"We are celebrating the new Trinity Health today with a new vision and strategy, a fresh look and many new opportunities," said Richard J. Gilfillan, M.D., president and CEO. "Our name best captures our mission to be a compassionate and transforming, healing presence in our communities and our vision of becoming the national leader in improving the health of our communities and the most trusted health partner for life of each person we serve."
Sister Mary Persico, IHM, executive vice president of Mission Integration, noted that the name has a significant meaning for the faith-based organization.
"In addition to the Holy Trinity being a core belief of the Catholic Church, Trinity in our name reflects our commitment to the ministry of healing body, mind and spirit," Persico said.
CHE Trinity Health was the operating name used while naming options were explored for the enterprise formed by the May 2013 consolidation of Catholic Health East and Trinity Health.
"We have accomplished so much together since forming this ministry and have made great progress in building our capabilities to deliver higher value and higher quality care in our communities," Gilfillan said. “Trinity Health speaks clearly to our intent to unify all of our efforts toward executing our strategy of building a people-centered health care system.”
Trinity Health's new purple and green logo features a cross that is formed by the wings of doves – symbols of love, peace and caring. Three purple doves, reflecting the Holy Trinity, come together with a green dove, symbolizing the organization's openness to new partners and new ideas.
"Trinity Health is the perfect name for us; it tells the story of who we are, where we've come from and where we intend to go," Gilfillan said. "At the same time, we understand that the most important name is the name of each person we serve."
