Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) September 25, 2014 -- ChemicalInfo, providers of the most comprehensive online databases for chemical and pharmaceutical companies and those who do business with them, announces the integration of over 400,000 records from waterborne bills of lading filed with U.S. Customs in Q2 provided by their partner PIERS, The Standard in Trade Intelligence.
Today ChemicalInfo subscribers have access to contact and product information for over 12,000 producers around the globe. With the addition of PIERS trade data, ChemicalInfo subscribers can view import and exports shipments collected from over 17,000,000 waterborne bills of lading filed with U.S. Customs each year (including 4,000,000 export bills of lading). This powerful combination allows subscribers to access company specific details on import and export shipments, including weight and estimated value, equipping them with the information needed to make informed sourcing decisions.
“Our partnership with PIERS enables our subscribers to identify trends based on a company’s specific commodity shipments and apply that knowledge to their decision making,” said Ernie Cote, Chief Executive Officer of ChemicalInfo. “Adding data from shipments in Q2 provides our subscribers with the most recent data available in the marketplace.”
While other data providers have begun publishing a subset of only containerized U.S. exports, PIERS remains the only provider with complete export transactions for all waterborne shipments (including bulk shipments) going back to 1977. Their unique infrastructure, which includes onsite security cleared staff at major U.S. ports allows them to scan and process bills of lading not filed electronically.
