Chicago Paper Tube & Can Co. Wins Luxe Pack In Green Award for EcoPush™
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) June 05, 2015 -- Chicago Paper Tube & Can Company was awarded top honors for their sustainable package at the 13th annual Luxe Pack tradeshow, held in New York May 13th – May 14th, 2015. Made entirely from paperboard with high PCW content, EcoPush replaces plastic containers by allowing direct filling of oil-based solids like balms and butters for cosmetics and personal-care markets. The package was chosen to receive the In Green award by a panel of 6 seasoned packaging experts, including this year’s guest of honor, William McDonough (Co-Author, Cradle to Cradle: Remaking the Way We Make Things and The Upcycle). The decision was also influenced by a popular vote from registered show attendees.

EcoPush is a 100% paperboard package made from up to 95% recycled materials (80% post-consumer content) with absolutely no plastic or metal. The entire package is biodegradable, compostable, and simple to recycle without any disassembly of the container. All of the paper and glues used in its manufacture are FDA compliant, and no solvents or harmful chemicals are used in the process, and the only waste product is a small amount of these same materials, which are recycled in return. All raw materials used in the standard EcoPush packaging are sourced from Midwestern American producers and is easily distributed from its Chicago, Illinois point of manufacture which minimizes all transportation costs.
Available in sizes from 0.3oz to 2oz, EcoPush is ideal for salves, solid perfume, sunscreen, deodorant and lip or whole-body balm. EcoPush can easily be styled with a premium appearance for cosmetic and personal-care products or outfitted with a natural look for organic branding.
