Chicago’s ServiceMaster by Simons Helps Clients Deal with Damage from Hurricane Harvey
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) September 26, 2017 -- Hurricane Harvey left unforeseeable damage in its path of destruction when it hit Texas, particularly the Houston area.
Hearing the call from clients, Sam Simon, managing director of ServiceMaster Restoration By Simons, a Chicago-based emergency disaster restoration and specialty cleaning business, traveled to the Houston area at the start of the Labor Day weekend. With a crew of 18 technicians, project managers and laborers, Simon and his team landed to assist and assess the dangerous situation.
“When we arrived to the Houston area, we found everybody already working hard to salvage their homes and businesses,” Simon said. “There was a severe shortage of supplies and disinfectants. We saw homes and businesses destroyed. Commercial and industrial properties were crippled and institutions like churches, schools and hospitals were badly affected.”
Simon added that he teamed up with the local ServiceMaster franchise in the area and offered to help them with any overflow work they couldn’t immediately service.
“Our crews worked tirelessly to restore customers’ homes and businesses,” said Simon who has been keeping watch about Hurricane Irma. He and his team may also mobilize to southern Florida to help commercial and industrial clients.
With natural disasters such as hurricanes which cause water, fire and smoke damage, Simon advised people to call 911 for medical emergencies and to avoid walking into rooms where they might be live electricity.
“Remove what you can, but ultimately, leave it to the professionals,” he said.
