Chicken Salad Chick Destin Opens Today
Destin, FL (PRWEB) July 30, 2013 -- Chicken Salad Chick, the nation’s newest, fast-casual restaurant concept, is scheduled to open Florida’s second Chicken Salad Chick franchise today, (Tuesday) July 30, 2013, in Destin. The restaurant is located in the City Market Shopping Center at 36150 Emerald Coast Parkway, Unit 111.
The Destin owners, Mark Singletary and Lauryn & Cope Smith, have been loyal fans of the brand and wanted to bring it to Destin following on the heels of successful franchise launches in Valdosta, GA and Tallahassee, FL in early 2013.
“Getting to live and work in Destin owning my own Chicken Salad Chick is a dream come true and I am so excited to start serving customers today,” said Singletary. “We have had great feedback from visitors during our pre-opening events and I know that our new friends and neighbors are going to fall in love with Chicken Salad Chick at first taste.”
Born In Alabama -- The Chicken Salad Chick concept was established in Auburn, Ala., in 2008 in the kitchen of founder, Stacy Brown. Stacy quickly learned that selling a homemade recipe from her kitchen is against the law, and after being shut down by the health department, she decided to solicit the business expertise of her future husband and fellow founder, Kevin Brown. Together, they opened a small takeout restaurant which quickly grew to enormous demand and additional locations. The unique concept offers customers a “custom-fit” chicken salad experience, with 15 original flavors to choose from, as well as gourmet soups, flavorful side salads and freshly-baked desserts. Chicken Salad Chick has sold 63 franchises to be developed across the states of Alabama, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina and South Carolina, and has plans to expand nationally in the coming years.
“We have experienced increasing customer demand for Chicken Salad Chick since the opening of our first takeout restaurant,” said Chicken Salad Chick Founder Stacy Brown. “We are surprised and honored that our customers want to own their own Chicken Salad Chick, and it only gives us affirmation that we are touching lives. And that is our goal every day.”
“The Destin restaurant is perfect for us to showcase our brand to both our loyal customers who have been waiting for us to come to town and those who have yet to enjoy the Chicken Salad Chick experience,” said Kevin Brown, president of Chicken Salad Chick. “This location, along with our other stores that have opened in the past six months, represent a very exciting time in the young life of our company.”
