Chief Learning Officer Announces Theme and Keynote Lineup for the 2016 Spring CLO Symposium
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) December 21, 2015 -- Today, Chief Learning Officer (CLO) magazine, a publication of Human Capital Media, announced the theme of its 12th annual CLO Symposium: “Learning Redefined.” This award-winning event is recognized internationally by learning leaders as one of the top conferences for the learning and development industry.
The editors of Chief Learning Officer magazine have developed a three-day program that explores the major themes of leadership, professional development, evolving management styles and workplace psychology that are redefining how leaders deliver enterprise learning. This spring’s event will be held on April 4-6 at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island, Florida.
Back by popular demand, the program also includes the CLO Accelerator, a two-day pre-conference event developed in partnership with Gerry Hudson-Martin, a former senior training officer at Marriott International. This one-of-a-kind professional development experience created exclusively with the needs of CLOs in mind puts learning professionals on the fast track to career success.
“The learning and development industry continues to advance at a rapid pace and events like the symposium are critical to staying on the leading edge,” said Mike Prokopeak, event emcee and Chief Learning Officer editor-in-chief. “As the workplace continues to evolve and change, learning leaders need to be poised and ready with innovative strategies and a set of effective practices to help their organizations flourish.”
Keynote speakers include some of the world’s leading management thinkers and business experts. This spring’s roster includes:
- Michelle Gielan, national CBS News anchor turned positive psychology researcher and best-selling author of “Broadcasting Happiness”
- Jeffrey Pfeffer, author of the business best-seller “Leadership B.S.” and professor of organizational behavior at Stanford University
- Brian Robertson, management iconoclast and author of “Holacracy: The New Management System for a Rapidly Changing World”
