Chief Learning Officer Unveils Top Companies Innovating in Workforce Development
Bonita Springs, FL (PRWEB) April 24, 2017 -- Chief Learning Officer magazine honored more than 60 global organizations for their outstanding learning and development (L&D) strategies Sunday night, at the 2017 LearningElite Gala in the ballroom at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa, Bonita Springs, Florida.
Held on the eve of CLO Symposium17, the magazine’s premier conference for senior corporate education and talent management executives, the dinner and awards ceremony marked the culmination of a rigorous annual peer-reviewed benchmarking program. The LearningElite “has become the industry’s most meaningful and comprehensive standard for evaluating workforce development based on innovation, execution and business impact,” according to Sarah Kimmel, vice president of research and advisory services for Human Capital Media (HCM), which publishes Chief Learning Officer.
The organizations ranked at the top of the 2017 LearningElite represent a diverse range of enterprises. The top five organizations, respectively, are Defense Acquisition University (U.S. Department of Defense), PricewaterhouseCoopers, Nationwide Mutual Insurance, Vi and Western Union. All five of these leading L&D innovators also ranked in the top 10 in last year’s LearningElite benchmarking.
“This year, the 68 organizations named to the LearningElite emerged from a very strong field of more than 300 applicants from around the globe,” said Kimmel. “That’s a strong indication that the program is highly valued in the business world. Beyond providing an opportunity for organizations to be recognized for outstanding outcomes in the field of workforce development, the LearningElite allows enterprises to quantify their progress toward making strong workforce development a major competitive differentiator.”
