Child Actress Scarlett Estevez Makes Big Moves in Hollywood with Two Major Roles in Film and TV
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) March 22, 2016 -- When movie icon Bette Davis was asked how aspiring actors can get into Hollywood, she famously quipped “Take Fountain.” But it seems Scarlett Estevez doesn’t need to take that advice, because she’s already on her way.
At only 8-years-old, Estevez is showing other child actors how it’s done and is leading the way in an industry so competitive it makes TV’s “Shark Tank” look like a Little League game.
At the age of 3, when most children are still learning how to talk, Estevez was already kicking off her career in the entertainment business, successfully clinching her first national commercial spot. She has since appeared in more than 25 commercials, including most recently for Toyota, Disney, Home Depot, Minute Maid, KFC and Cheerios. It was apparent that this adorable, yet precocious young girl was going places and going fast.
Five years later, she’s now juggling the press circuit for two major roles: starring in a series regular role as “Trixie” in the scalding hot new FOX TV series “Lucifer,” based off characters created by literary heavyweight Neil Gaiman; and as “Megan” in the hit comedy feature, Daddy’s Home, starring Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg. Wahlberg recently exclaimed that Estevez was his “favorite actress to work with ever.”
Estevez recently attended the Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards, where her film Daddy’s Home took home the award for “Favorite Movie Actor” (Will Ferrell), ensuring that Estevez was not only being selected for key roles, but also key projects. The movie was also up for “Favorite Movie” of the year.
In a recent interview with Los Angeles’ KTLA News (CW), Estevez talked about the joys of working on-set with such a team, being fascinated both by the production and editing processes and in observing what makes good comedy work. “Most of the scenes are really funny,” the child star says with a smirk and glimmer in her eye. “It’s funny watching behind the scenes and then watching the movie and seeing how they edit it [to be] really funny.”
In addition to both of those roles, Estevez also recently starred in 2013’s The Magic Bracelet, a short film written by Oscar-winning screenwriter Diablo Cody (Juno), alongside Academy Award-winner J.K. Simmons, James Van Der Beek and Hailee Steinfeld.
