PITTSBURGH, PA (PRWEB) October 05, 2016 -- While child car seat design continues to emphasize safety, it does not address the need to keep the child’s head steady while asleep. That’s exactly what an inventor from Renton, Wash., was concerned about when she envisioned a new type of head support for car seats.
She developed a prototype for the patent-pending HEADS UP! To provide a more restful sleep for an infant riding in a car seat by keeping baby’s head from moving forward or to the side. As such, it affords extra protection from injury for the infant’s head and neck while traveling by car. It, therefore, improves child safety and affords peace of mind for concerned parents. At the same time, it is convenient, effective and affordably priced. It is comfortable and easy to install and use, too. It also can be used as a pillow when the child is awake. In addition, it adjusts to any infant’s head size.
The inventor’s personal experience inspired the idea. “I created this to help my infant son sleep more comfortably in his car seat. I wanted to keep his head from falling forward or from side to side after he fell asleep,” she said.
The original design was submitted to the Seattle office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
