Child-Friendly Dental Tool Cover Invented by InventHelp Client (RDC-202)
PITTSBURGH, PA (PRWEB) January 24, 2015 -- Since it's not unusual for adults to feel anxious about dental procedures, it's easy to understand that this tendency is even more prevalent in children. However, an inventor from Greenville, N.C., has found a way to allay those fears for young dental patients.
She developed a prototype for the patent-pending CAMOUFLAGE SYRINGE specifically to take the fear and anxiety out of dental visits from a very young age. As an added bonus, it prevents needle-prick injuries to the doctor as well. Besides that, it reduces the need for pre-medication.
Furthermore, the smaller size makes the syringe more comfortable for children’s small mouths. Child-friendly designs on the accessory tend to put young patients at ease. As a result, it promotes a positive outlook for future dental visits and better dental health. It also allows pediatric dental patients to select the syringe cover the dentist will use and take it with them after treatment. In addition, it encourages young patients to actively participate in their treatment.
The inventor's dental experience with children inspired the idea. "After seeing how the appearance of conventional dental syringes tends to frighten children," she said, "I wanted to give them a positive experience rather than having them suffer long-term psychological harm."
The original design was submitted to the Durham office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
