Child Stabbed in Eye by Bully at School Invents New Toy to Comfort Children with Glasses
Austin, TX (PRWEB) January 28, 2014 -- Lenz Frenz LLC, a Pflugerville, Texas based company, manufacturers of Lenz Frenz and L’il Lenz Frenz stuffed animal eyeglass and contact lens cases will be launching a Kickstarter campaign on January 28, 2014, and debuting their products at TOY FAIR NY on February 15, 2014.
Patent pending Lenz Frenz is a stuffed animal with a built in hard-shelled eyeglass case inside its belly. It can also store eyeglasses on its face, securely, so the animal can wear real glasses, just like your child does.
CEO Molly Lofthouse explains “Lenz Frenz is the inspiration of my son who was tragically stabbed in the eye by a bully at school. A quarter inch of lead broke off and lodged in his eye, requiring emergency surgery to save it. The idea originated from my son, but together we made this product in hopes of creating a “friend” to provide comfort and ease during the life-changing event of having to wear eyeglasses.”
L’il Lenz Frenz is a smaller version designed to hold contact lens cases. Both products will be manufactured in six character options including a teddy bear, monkey, unicorn, T-Rex, owl, and puppy.
