Childcare Network Opens New School in Westpoint, GA.
Westpoint, GA (PRWEB) August 15, 2014 -- Childcare Network, based in Columbus, GA, is expanding its programs to West Point, GA. The company recently opened an 8,750 square foot facility off Kia Blvd. The new school accommodates approximately 165 students. Scott Cotter, President of Childcare Network, indicated the company first met with Kia officials in late 2012. “During our initial meeting, we learned that child care was one of the most commonly cited needs for their associates. Based on this feedback, we decided to move forward with the project.” Childcare Network plans to offer two shifts along with a regular day program. First shift hours will be from 6:00 am to 3:30 pm while the second shift will run from 2:00 pm and end at 11:30 pm when the facility closes. The regular day program will serve families with more traditional work hours from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. As parents rotate from shift to shift, they can adjust their child care hours accordingly. While the program has been designed to specifically meet the needs of the Kia plant and their suppliers, enrollment is available to the public at-large on a first come basis for children from six weeks to twelve years of age.
This facility has passed a detailed inspection by the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning. In addition to meeting the basic child care licensing requirements, Childcare Network plans to follow the enhanced standards required by Georgia’s new Quality Rating system. The school will not be eligible to apply for a rating until it completes its first year of operations.
