Children’s Book Encourages To Accept One’s Self
PERTH, Australia (PRWEB) July 24, 2017 -- Matilda Nicole Rothon writes an engaging children’s book that is intended to encourage readers and to make them realize to accept one another for being themselves because everyone is different. In “The Tree That Never Grew” (published by Xlibris AU), Rothon illustrates the brilliant story by focusing on a little tree that did not seem to be growing like the ones around him. The little tree’s concern is being different from the others.
The book came about in 2015, as Rothon was looking out a window and saw trees, one of which was much smaller than the others. As she was observing these trees the ideas started forming in her mind, and over many, many weeks, she painted her pictures and wrote the story. In the book, readers will meet Poppy, the main character, and Chop and Chow, who are Poppy’s concerned friends.
“It is a simple story about being different but recognizing your own self worth,” Rothon describes her published book. “The book is very relevant because many people have doubts and a low esteem of themselves.”
An excerpt from the book:
Poppy was very happy now he knew why he didn't grow like the other trees.
