Children’s Specialized Hospital Names New Chief Medical Officer
Mountainside, NJ (PRWEB) August 13, 2013 -- Children’s Specialized Hospital has named Christopher Haines, DO, FAAP, FACEP, as the new chief medical officer of the nation’s largest pediatric rehabilitation system. Under Haines’s leadership, the hospital will continue to serve over 20,000 children annually affected by brain injury, spinal cord injury, premature birth, autism, developmental delays, and life-changing illnesses through its ten sites in New Jersey.

As the new chief medical officer, Haines will oversee all of the hospital’s medical programs including inpatient rehabilitation, physicians’ practices, research and the fellowship program.

Haines joined Children’s Specialized in early June from St. Christopher's Hospital, in Philadelphia PA where he served as the director of the Department of Emergency Medicine. He earned his Doctorate of Osteopathic medicine from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Philadelphia, PA; completed his residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia, PA; and fulfilled his fellowship at Akron Children's Medical Center, Akron, Ohio. Dr. Haines is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric emergency medicine and will earn an MBA at Drexel University LeBow College of Business in early 2014.
Haines lives with his wife and two children in Bucks County PA. He looks forward to making every second of his time at Children’s Specialized Hospital count for the patients and their families.
