China Corn Industry News Reviewed in Topical CCM Report Published at MarketPublishers.com
London, UK (PRWEB) January 13, 2015 -- The prices for corn and most corn deep processing products in China decreased in December 2014 on the back of falling raw material costs and weakening demand for them. In December, the sales peak for livestock and poultry in the country has come, leading a decrease in the demand for feed and, therefore, the sluggish demand for corn and feed additives. Furthermore, the winter holiday effect eased off and the consumption of food in China has not fully recovered.
The temporary corn storage in China is proceeding at a slow rate owing to the lack of funds. Meantime, the market price for corn keeps on falling. By December 20th, 2014, the temporary corn storage in the 4 provinces of China’s Northeast region was estimated at 3.31 million tonnes (compared to last year’s 6.07 million tonnes). Currently, traders hold the lion’s share of corn supply and they are likely to sell the corn at lower prices owing to growing fund pressure.
