China Proxy IP List Unblocks Chinese Sites from Abroad

Many video sites in China stream western movies outside official distribution channels.”
Usefulness of a China Proxy is not limited to the unblocking of Chinese websites from abroad; there are language benefits as well, “Like any traveler, a Chinese user abroad will be frustrated by the fact international websites display in local (i.e. foreign) languages. They may find an option for changing the site’s language to Chinese but it can be irritating to do so upon each and every visit. If they keep a browser aside which is configured to connect to a Chinese proxy, however, all sites they access will default to Mandarin.”
idcloak additionally offers a free list of proxy servers in Chinese language. This international selection of proxies is aimed at the other side of the Chinese censorship problem: netizens within the PRC who need to unblock censorship of foreign sites.
Shortly after the release of the list, idcloak.com itself became blocked by the Golden Shield, meaning the list can only reach Chinese users through email circulation.
Welles says idcloak remains undeterred in providing anti-censorship services, “As a provider of unblockers, you know you are doing something right when censors try to sweep you under the carpet.”
