Milwaukee, WI (PRWEB) September 26, 2016 -- In 1986, the Agricultural & Applied Economics Association (AAEA) announced the launch of Choices. What began as a quarterly print magazine has evolved into a free, online-only publication. As the principal outreach vehicle of AAEA, Choices provides peer-reviewed articles exploring the economic implications of current food, farm, resource or rural community issues directed toward a broad audience.
Current editor, Mary Ahearn, says “The challenge for the Choices authors and editors is to make sure those who should be aware of the knowledge generated by the profession are provided relevant information in an accessible format. Choices aims to do just that. We are pleased to have been part of the policy dialogue for the last 30 years and look forward to many more to come.”
Continuing the tradition of producing topical public policy analysis articles, Choices will be celebrating their 30 years with future themes on Crop Insurance, beginning farmers, herbicide resistance management, and a theme on the next Farm Bill.
