Christ Presbyterian Church Opens Doors to City for Community Christmas
Nashville, TN (PRWEB) December 09, 2013 -- This holiday season, Christ Presbyterian Church is inviting all of Nashville and her surrounding cities to Community Christmas on Saturday, December 14 at 6:30 p.m.
This is a free, city-wide event that will include a sing-along of Handel’s “Messiah” followed by a lively after-party featuring some of Nashville’s best musicians, delicious soups, festivities and desserts.
This year for Community Christmas, the Christ Presbyterian Church Choir will be joined by members of The Nashville Choir and Concert Chorale. The combined choirs will be accompanied by a full orchestra for a rendition of Handel’s classic that attendees will simply not forget. Everyone is invited to lend their voices to the singing or simply enjoy the beautiful music being performed.
Community Christmas, formerly called “Community Messiah,” is a yearly tradition for Christ Presbyterian Church as a way to invite the entire city to celebrate the Christmas season.
No rehearsals are required to participate in the “Messiah” sing-along choir. You may bring your own copy of “Messiah” or borrow music at the door. This is a free event for the community.
Christ Presbyterian Church is located at 2323 Old Hickory Blvd., Nashville, Tenn., 37215.
