Christian Charity Boat Angel Donation Center Expands Outreach Throughout Ethiopia
(PRWEB) December 18, 2013 -- Boat Angel Outreach Center is a non-profit boat donation program that currently operates an outreach ministry that reaches youths, children and adults by the word of God. This is primarily done with children oriented Bible study programs, soccer champ outreaches and bible story Sunday school materials written in the form of Donkey Ollie and Ten Commandments, Donkey Ollie and the Names of God, Donkey Ollie and the Lord's Prayer and Donkey Ollie and the Miracles of Jesus. These items are created in the United States and then they translated and printed by Boat Angel Outreach Center of Addis Ababa. They are distributed at no charge to children of Ethiopia. Pastor Hizkias Fako with Boat Angel Outreach Center co-ordinates this ministry in Ethiopia and is overseeing the current partnership expansions in Ethiopia, Eritrea and Sudan by targeting the Tigray or the Tigrinya people indigenous to that area. Book printings, distributions and outreaches are funded by donations to Boat Angel Donation Center.
On August 29th 2013 Boat Angel made full agreement to work together with BDTC Ethiopia and lead the congregations under the same constitutions and bylaws into the same river of the living water through teaching children the Donkey Ollie with characters from the Adventures of Donkey Ollie and by starting soccer champs outside the church to reach out to the youth and organizing new soccer and Bible study programs. The Boat Angel Outreach Center accepted BDTC Ethiopia as a full partner in this venture with the goal of working together to outreach outside the church through using the soccer champs and youth Bible study. Additional materials will be printed and distributed to for these locations and also be provided directly to the youth leaders and children in the churches. This past September, BAOC selected and will send five associate pastors to BDTC that established outreaches near the existing church building with the hopes of drawing new members into the churches and building the body of Christ through youth teaching and training. This Christian outreach in Ethiopia operates at 62 locations throughout Ethiopia with weekly estimated attendance around 30,000 primarily youth and school aged children. BDTC Ethiopia has 60 local churches in different locations of Ethiopia both rural and town areas. BDTC also has over 22,000 members in their congregations, 70% of these congregations have mostly adults under thirty with children. Boat Angel Outreach Center has made available free Sunday school material for children at the boat angel website and also digital downloads through the Google Play Store for no cost downloads. This partnership will provide teaching materials to children that will emphasize the truths of the Bible by continuing to provide age appropriate books and other spiritual training tools which will enable BDTC to reach out to many youths and children who are not currently members of local congregations.

In their former church experiences it was hard for the members of BDTC to understand the truth of salvation in Christ alone." Pastor Yoseph stated, "We had different understandings towards our salvation in Christ that was and is a gift from God, received by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ alone not including our good works. Our salvation was purchased by the blood of Jesus Christ on the cross, and received by faith apart from any human merit, works, or ritual. This truth came to our heart by Holy Spirit and we faced persecution in Traditional Church. Based on these different beliefs of the truth we separated from the former church and planted the independent church named BDTC and we got official license to worship God and expand his kingdom in Ethiopia based on the truth Jesus teaches us by his spirit in the Bible."
As a highly regarded Christian non-profit group Boat Angel Outreach Center recently sent out copies of the Donkey Ollie Christmas in Heaven Book to orphanages, Sunday schools and youth detention facilities throughout the United States. Boat Angel Director and Donkey Ollie author Brian Stewart stated, “We are happy to print out these color story book for children and distribute them here in the United States as well as Africa. We received letters of appreciation from; Hope House, Sunny Glen Children’s Home, Methodist Children’s Home and My Father’s House. We received enthusiastic thank you notes with statements like: “Thank you for blessing our kids with your book-Donkey Ollie’s Christmas in Heaven. The kids are sure to enjoy them. Both our boys and girls were surprised that the books were donated just because you care about them and it wasn’t unusual for me to hear them say, ”he did this just for us? He doesn’t even know us, gifts like yours are indeed a warm fuzzy for them.”
