Christian School Grows 52% with Ignitia Online Curriculum
Rock Rapids, IA (PRWEB) March 19, 2015 -- Since reopening its doors in 2011, a Christian school in southeastern Texas has been growing rapidly with the help of Alpha Omega Publications’ Ignitia online curriculum.
Located just 50 miles north of the Gulf of Mexico in Vidor, Texas, Faith Christian Academy was originally established in 1989, but the school was forced to close in 2006.
“I was heartbroken, but I obeyed,” said Deborah Lisenby, the current principal of FCA. “The Lord led me to do what was best for our students and our church.”
However, after only five years and lots of encouragement, Lisenby led a movement to reinstate the school with the help of Ignitia.
“I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that AOP’s curriculum was what was best for our students,” Lisenby said. “Ignitia is easy to operate for everyone involved: administrators, principals, teachers, students, and parents.”
In 2011, FCA reopened with 10 students, 5 teachers, and 4 support staff. By 2012, the Christian school constructed a brand new building and playground. Two years later, the building’s capacity was reached after the school experienced a 52 percent increase in enrollment. Now, FCA is home to 43 students, 5 teachers, and 6 support staff, as well as an administrator, principal, and several volunteer staff.
As Faith Christian Academy continues to grow, Administrator and Reverend Jacob Smith said the mission at his school and Alpha Omega Publications remain the same.
“We are educating for tomorrow and equipping for eternity,” said Smith.
