Christianity as a Way toward Life
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (PRWEB) April 17, 2015 -- Alexis Georg Hoen has survived beneath many oppressive belief systems, from Stalin’s Soviet Union to Nazi Germany, before finally making his way to the United States to practice medicine in Los Angeles.
His new book, “Christianity and Cosmic Consciousness: A Commentary on the Words of Jesus” offers readers the theological thoughts of a man whose childhood was spent in countries where the only religion was service to the state.
“The basic premise of the book is that the innermost nature of all that exists, including Man, is the will to live and to love,” Hoen said. “This will is realized by sacrifice and forgiveness, and eternal life is overcoming one’s isolation as an individual. Learning to forgive oneself by foregoing judgment on others is hugely important.”
Hoen hopes that his book can offer a new perspective on the Christian faith. His early life is filled with hardship but his book focuses on the goodness of life and the omnipresence of God.
