CHARLOTTE, N.C. (PRWEB) December 09, 2015 -- Nearly 40 percent of Americans say they attend church regularly, a majority of them attending a Christian institution. Each day, members and leaders of churches reach out to non-members to spread the word of God and, they hope, lead another soul to Christ.
While talking about faith seems simple in theory, in practice it can become convoluted. No one knows this better than Reverend Duncan L. Futrelle Jr. It was his experience leading religious institutions that led him to write Spiritual Indentions That Matter, a simple and comprehensive guidebook for getting to know Christ and what it means to lead a Christian life.
“In my time as a religious leader, I often turned to other pastors’ writing and teaching for support,” Reverend Futrelle said. “Helping people find Christ is hard work; as is finding out what it means to lead a Christian life. I knew that leaders and young Christians alike could use a simple tool to help them through the process.”
Reverend Futrelle became a Christian early in life. He served as pastor at churches throughout North Carolina. During his time as pastor, he also worked as a professor of Christian ethics. Since retiring in 2006, he’s continued to do what he can to spread the word of God.
“Most of my life has been spent in pastoral ministry,” Reverend Futrelle said. “Now in the sunset years of my life, I hope to continue to help those seeking a relationship with Christ and those working tirelessly to lead others in a Christian life.”
