Christians for Biblical Equality welcomes Karen Longman, James Smith, and Allen Yeh to speaker lineup
Minneapolis, Minnesota (PRWEB) January 24, 2015 -- Christians for Biblical Equality (CBE) has announced the final three workshop speakers for its 2015 conference to be held July 24–26 in Los Angeles, CA. Karen Longman, James Smith, and Allen Yeh will join twenty other workshop speakers exploring the conference theme: “Becoming New: Man and Woman Together in Christ.”
“We are excited to welcome Dr. Longman, Dr. Smith, and Dr. Yeh to our speaker lineup,” stated Florkime Paye, CBE’s conference coordinator. “These speakers will add intercultural, leadership, and historical expertise to our already exemplary lineup. This year’s speaker lineup is one of the most diverse we have had the opportunity to host.”
Dr. Karen Longman received a PhD from the University of Michigan and is currently a professor in the school of behavioral and applied sciences at Azusa Pacific University. She specializes in faith-based higher education, gender issues, and leadership development.
Dr. James D. Smith III received a ThD from Harvard University and is currently professor of church history at Bethel Seminary’s San Diego campus.
Dr. Allen Yeh received a PhD from Oxford University and is currently associate professor of intercultural studies and missiology at Biola University. He specializes in missiology in Latin America and China.
CBE’s conference, “Becoming New” will be held on July 24–26, 2015 at the Hilton Los Angeles Airport Hotel. The conference theme is based on 2 Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
