Ottawa, Canada (PRWEB) May 27, 2015 -- Christie® is showcasing its industry-leading control room monitoring and simulation solutions for the defense industry at CANSEC May 27-28 in Ottawa, Canada. Located at booth No. 2004 on the show floor, Christie will highlight the benefits of using its technology - including a spherical video training simulator, the multiple award winning Christie® MicroTiles®, Christie Brio, Christie Phoenix, and the Christie FHD461-X flat panels - for a variety of defense applications.
Christie’s team of project managers, design and mechanical engineers, software specialists and integration experts use their decades of simulated environment expertise to deliver the most advanced, true-to-life simulation display solutions that combine system stability, long life and minimal maintenance at an extremely low cost of ownership.
For example, Christie’s unique training simulator - ideal for entry-level applications and feature on the booth - uses spherical video content to demonstrate a new way to see the world in simulated environments such as ‘virtually’ familiarizing a new crew member with an existing ship before they enter the real vessel.
Using WorldViz Vizard5 software, the spherical video content features real-world still images - instead of synthetic CGI - captured in 360-degree still images, plus video from AirPano, Kolor and Empire Media Group (EMG), which was taken from a helicopter, a hot air balloon and on foot in a navy ship. The simulator is equipped with four Christie DWU555-GS solid-state, 1DLP® laser phosphor projectors, with 5,400 ANSI lumens and WUXGA (1920 x 1200) resolution for bright, razor-sharp images. With Christie GS Series laser phosphor illuminated projectors, customers avoid the cost and maintenance of lamp and filter replacements and enjoy an astonishing 20,000 hours of low-cost operation.
Christie offers a vast array of display options to suit any monitoring need including Christie MicroTiles, which deliver the brightness and reliability needed in mission critical control centers where clear, concise images and solution integrity are vital. Also at the booth are Christie FHD461-X flat panels - a low cost option for budget-defined systems requiring excellent image quality in a non-24/7 environment - and Christie® Phoenix® , which enables seamless access and control of audio-visual data regardless of user location. Whether used by multiple parallel participants, single offices, or in the field through mobile technology, Christie Phoenix connects them all.
Employing Christie’s stunning, practical displays and revolutionary network-distributed open content management platform, operations centers will experience complete control from any location at any time.
