Christopher Dunn Now Serving on North Carolina Board of PT Examiners
Cary, North Carolina (PRWEB) June 25, 2015 -- Dunn Physical Therapy (Dunn PT), proud partner of BreakThrough Physical Therapy, is pleased to announce that owner Christopher Dunn, PT, OCS, CERT-MDT, CMP, has been appointed to the North Carolina Board of Physical Therapy Examiners for a three-year term that will run from 2015 to 2017.
The North Carolina Board of Physical Therapy Examiners is an occupational licensing board that seeks to establish and maintain standards for the physical therapy field that protect the safety and welfare of North Carolina patients. In addition to licensing physical therapists and physical therapist assistants to practice physical therapy in the State, the board is also responsible for investigating complaints regarding unauthorized practice of physical therapy in the State and interpreting questions arising from the Physical Therapy Practice Act.
Christopher Dunn has been a physical therapist for over 25 years, receiving his BS in Physical Therapy from Daemen College in Amherst, NY. Upon graduating, he worked in a variety of orthopedic settings, with a passion for private practice. In 2003, he obtained his McKenzie Certification, which is the mechanical diagnosis and therapy of the spine. He is Board Certified in Orthopedics by the APTA, Certified as a Mulligan practitioner and is a trained practitioner of Trigger Point Dry Needling (TDN).
Dunn has served as a guest lecturer for Duke University and Winston Salem State’s Physical Therapy Schools. He will graduate from an Executive Practice Management Program in August of this year, where he will also have completed his transitional Doctorate. You will frequently find Christopher speaking at various community groups regarding injury prevention for athletes and workers.
