Churchill Wild Wins Brewster Travel Canada Adventure/Outdoors Award for Polar Bear Walking Safaris at 2016 Canadian Tourism Awards

Held on November 30, 2016 at the Hilton Lac-Leamy in Gatineau, Quebec, the Canadian Tourism Awards are presented annually by the Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC) to recognize success, leadership and innovation in Canada's tourism industry, and to reward those people, places, organizations and events that have gone above and beyond to offer travellers superior tourism experiences in Canada.

The Brewster Travel Canada Adventure/Outdoors Award recognizes an organization that provides outstanding outdoor adventure tourism experiences; promotes visitor participation and personal challenge; provides outdoor experiences that showcase and promote regional tourism; contributes to, or enhances the Canadian tourism industry; shows a strong commitment to visitor/participant satisfaction and product development; and which fosters an appreciation and enjoyment of Canada's great outdoors.

Churchill Wild offers guests the rare opportunity to see polar bears up close in their natural habitat from July through November at their three different fly-in polar bear lodges, which include: Nanuk Polar Bear Lodge, located 250 km southeast of Churchill, Manitoba; Dymond Lake Eco-Lodge, 30 km north of Churchill; and Seal River Heritage Lodge, 60 km north of Churchill.
