San Francisco, Calif. (PRWEB) December 02, 2015 -- Today, Chute, the leaders in enterprise UGC marketing, announced the UGC Brand Trends Report. The free app is designed to give marketers a better understanding of how their brand, competitors and industry hashtags appear within eight of the major themes on Instagram: travel, babies, pets, fashion, beauty, food, health/fitness, sports and one wild card conversation based on current events and trending topics, like Black Friday.
“Last month there were nearly 4 million travel photos and 13 million fashion photos shared on Instagram. These are major conversations consumer brands want to both be part of, and better understand. But most brands don’t know if and how their brand fits into them,” said Ranvir Gujral, Chute co-founder and CEO. “The UGC Brand Trend Report is a free tool designed to give marketers a snapshot of how their brand is perceived on Instagram, as well as provide directionality on the type of images performing well and the people creating them.”
How It Works for Marketers
The UGC Brand Trends Report allows marketers to search for any keyword within the nine categories to see the total volume of photos shared during a two-week time period, plus the most influential content creators, popular photos, where the photos are coming from, and other important topics trending within their search. Marketers can run as many searches as they want, as well as sign-up to receive a bi-weekly email update of their brand report(s).
How it Works Behind the Scenes
Chute tracks popular hashtags within each of these categories, like #OOTD within the Fashion category. The marketer selects the category most relevant to his/her brand, and runs a search for a brand or campaign hashtag. Chute automatically narrows the broad conversation from everything fashion, down to only those images shared with the desired keyword. Chute’s proprietary algorithms are then able to sort the images by popularity, location, other related trending hashtags, etc.
